Rates, Terms & Conditions

  1. The venue fee includes venue hire, tables & chairs, white or black tablecloths, standard cutlery, crockery and glassware for the day, the necessary kitchen staff and a licensed, professionally equipped kitchen (the kitchen will only be used by Oppieplaas venue staff) use the waiters and waitresses, safe car and bus parking with security. Cash bar, well stocked, and reasonably priced bar service up to 12pm, thereafter R200.00 per hour, bar personal of 1 barman per 40 persons, tables at serving area with black tablecloths. 4 Fire Burners outside (wood will be provided by Oppieplaas Venue) the Lapa for the evening and the fires will burn in the lapa if wanted. Brides table half table and chairs with a table cloth white.
  2. The full menu price is charged for musicians, photographers, dj, etc. Children between the ages of 5 and 12 years shall be catered for at 50% of the menu price 13 years and older full price will be charged.
  3. The guest list, bar and menu requirements are to be finalized at least twenty one (21) days prior to the function
  4. Under NO circumstances own alcohol will be permitted on our premises. All alcohol must be bought from the bar and all pre drinks must be bought from the bar and be discussed with Dean.
  5. A deposit of 50% of the venue fee is payable to secure the date and time of the function. This is non refundable and will be subtracted from total cost.
  6. The total balance should be paid fourteen (14) days prior to the date of the function.
  7. Oppie Plaas Venue is fully licensed and all liquor shall be purchased from the bar- wine/champagne will be allowed at R15 / bottle (corkage fee)
  8. The bar will close at 02h00 as the liquor act requests.
  9. Under NO circumstances are outside caterers or cooks permitted on our premises
  10. Music is allowed until 24h00. (Discuss with Dean if you prefer a later party)
  11. Oppieplaas Venue, its employees, landlord or any other person employed accepts no liability or responsibility in the event of interruption of electricity, water or sanitary services due to any cause whatsoever. Load shedding by ESKOM. A 75 kw generator is required to supply the venue. When equired/requested, Oppieplaas venue will arrange this and share half the cost. Oppieplaas will not be held responsible for any load shedding by Eskom or incase of nature
  12. Tablecloths shall be protected by placing saucers and/or polystyrene under candles and flower arrangements
  13. Oppieplaas Venue, its employees or any other person employed at any function accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss or injury due to any cause of whatsoever nature, howsoever arising.
  14. The above terms and conditions are fully understood and are hereby unconditionally accepted
